Call for papers

Encuentro Latinoamericano (ELA) is pleased to invite the academic community to submit unpublished articles in our Open Topic call. We look forward to manuscripts in the formats of articles, essays, reviews, and research advances to be published in our next two issues.

ELA is a journal published by the International Association for Political Science Students (IAPSS). It is edited by junior researchers and established scholars from Latin America that publishes texts by authors of all levels. This journal specializes in the political and social analysis of issues and phenomena of relevance to the Latin American region, including the Caribbean. 

Manuscripts can be submitted in any of the languages ELA considers: Spanish, Portuguese, and English. Complete information on submission guidelines can be found at https://ela.iapss.org/index.php/journal/submissions.

The deadline for submitting articles is September 19, 2025. 

ELA is committed to following a quality editorial process. All articles will receive a preliminary review by the Editorial Board, and those meeting the minimum evaluation requirements will be sent to two external reviewers. The process is double-blind, meaning the reviewer does not know the author’s name or affiliation and vice versa.
