Call for editors

Encuentro Latinoamericano (ELA) is a journal published by the International Association for Political Science Students (IAPSS). It is edited by junior researchers and established scholars from Latin America that publishes texts by authors of all levels. This journal specializes in the political and social analysis of issues and phenomena of relevance to the Latin American region, including the Caribbean. 

ELA seeks applications from researchers and scholars to two vacancies of editor. The positions are for two-year terms that can be extended. We are especially looking for candidates with editorial managing skills (manuscript handling services and integrity screening). 

Responsibilities of the editors: oversee and support the peer review process; collaborate with authors through the editorial process; working with the Editor-in-chief on the day-to-day operations of the journal.

If you hold or are obtaining a PhD in any field of the social sciences and your research is related to the scope of the journal, you are encouraged to apply. It is important to note that editors must have good commandments in English and be fluent in one of the other languages considered by ELA - Spanish or Portuguese.
